Hello Everyone!  Recently we’ve been seeing news reports of increased number of families suffering from food insecurity throughout our nation, and around the world, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic impact.  Images of thousands of cars in long lines at the food banks and stories of parents concerned about how to feed their children really touched us and stirred our hearts to want to help.  So here is what we are going to do:

Effective immediately and until the end of June 2020, we will donate 100% of the net profit from our Shopify store to one of the largest food bank charity organizations in the U.S., Feeding America (https://www.feedingamerica.org/).

There it is, I said it…but I really need your help to get the message out.  Many of you know that my business is not on Facebook and we did that on purpose, but this also means that it’ll be harder for me to get the word out without being connected to the large Facebook community.  So please help me share the message out in whichever way you feel comfortable…Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, word of mouth, or whatever way you can think of.  You may never know, but your help may just have an exponential impact on this charity effort and the amount of people it helps.  If you purchase from our Shopify store between now and the end of June, 100% of the net profit will go to Feeding America to help feed those in need.  But you don’t have to buy from us in order to help and make a difference.  I’m hoping that with you joining us to get the word out, it’ll inspire people around the world to extend a helping hand to those in need.  Whether it be a kind gesture of helping a neighbor or a simple donation through their favorite charity.  Every little bit helps, and they all add up.  I’m also hoping that this may inspire other businesses to help those in need however they can.  For our international followers and readers, although we don’t currently ship our products internationally, your assistance in spreading the word can still help tremendously.  In this virtually connected world, you just never know how your effort may ultimately benefit someone you know: a friend, a family member, a neighbor, a co-worker; or it may help a total stranger that you may never meet but your effort ends up making their life a little easier and bringing them a bit of comfort through this difficult time.  I’d like to invite you to join us in this charity effort, helping us pay it forward.

Well, I’ve been hinting recently about bringing you something new, that’s because we were in the final stages of putting this new website together.  But instead of waiting until everything is just perfect, we’re going to publish our website online now so we can make the announcement about this charity effort as soon as possible.  With that being said, please be kind.  We are not website designers and we put this website together as a family project without professional help.  So if you find something on the website needing work, please bear with us as we make adjustments and refinements.

That’s enough of me “yappying” away for now.  Be safe and stay healthy!

Usually I never comment on everyone’s blogs but your articles are so convincing and cover all walk of life that I never stop myself to say something about it. You’re doing a great job, keep it up.

I really appreciate the time you’ve taken out of your business to write and sometimes connect live with people to deliver your beautiful thoughts and stories on interesting topics of daily life.

It’s really great to hear that you donate a big part of your profit to American Red Cross for needy people from your Etsy store and are going to donate your 100% profit from your Shopify store between now and the end of June 2020.

I hope it will be a big reason for people to visit your site, shop beautiful items and contribute helping needy people during this pandemic.
